Pelin Turkmen attended the United World College of the Adriatic from 2018 to 2020. Since February 2024, she has been a member of the UWC Romanian National Committee, continuing to strongly uphold the UWC mission and values.

After graduating from UWC, Pelin pursued her undergraduate studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom. Her time at UWC and LSE deepened her passion for sustainable finance and inspired her commitment to bridging the gap between sustainability and economic development.

Driven by this ambition, Pelin began her career as an ESG analyst at Cambridge & Counties Bank. In this role, she developed the bank’s ESG strategy and framework, aligning its operations with climate regulations, and collaborating with the risk department to address ESG-related risks. Her impactful contributions earned her the 2024 Rising Star Award in the ESG category from We Are The City in London, UK.

Building on her expertise, Pelin transitioned into the field of impact investing and currently works at BlueMark, a leading firm specialising in impact verification and market intelligence, based in their London office. Passionate about advancing the impact investing field, she is dedicated to promoting its growth and potential to foster a more just and sustainable society.
