Sara Roman
Member of the National Committee
Sara Roman began her studies at Sf. Sava National College, specializing in Mathematics and Computer Science. In 2018, she had the extraordinary opportunity to be nominated for a full scholarship to Pearson College UWC in Canada (2018-2020). There, in addition to academics, she dedicated herself to extracurricular activities within the UWC framework (CAS activities), developing a passion for entrepreneurship through various initiatives in Vancouver.
The transformative experience at UWC opened new horizons for her, enabling her to earn a merit scholarship to the University of Chicago in the United States, where she studied Economics and Public Policy. Additionally, she participated in specialized programs in these fields at Stanford University and worked as a Teaching Assistant for several economics courses at UChicago.
Today, Sara works in the United States at Goldman Sachs, in the Asset and Wealth Management division. She considers the UWC experience to have profoundly shaped her professional and personal trajectory, which is why her involvement with the UWC national committee is a way to give back to the Romanian community and support UWC values.
